User guide

For sales reps: see what you have earned and exactly why.

What you see

In the Commissions tab you see Ledger and Help. The Ledger shows only your own commission lines. You cannot see other people’s commissions, and they cannot see yours. Plans, payouts administration, Logs and Settings are for administrators.

Reading a ledger line

Each line shows the record it came from, the amount, its status and a plain-language reason. For example:

$1,440.00: 5% of $48,000 invoiced (after shipping and tax) × 60% closer split.

The reason tells you the basis, the rate and any split applied. Open a line for the full calculation. Amounts are shown in your organisation’s home currency. Negative amounts are shown in parentheses.

Statuses and line types

StatusMeaning
PendingCalculated and waiting to be included in a payout.
ApprovedReserved for an approval step that is coming later — you won’t see it yet.
PaidIncluded in a payout that has been marked as paid.
Clawed BackReversed, for example after a cancelled invoice.
Line typeMeaning
EarnedCommission you earned on a record.
AdjustmentA correction made to an earlier amount.
ClawbackA reversal when a deal is lost or an invoice is cancelled. It shows what was reversed and why.

Commission Breakdown on a record

On a Deal, Invoice or Sales Order, choose Commission Breakdown to see how commission on that record was worked out. You see your own lines only; other payees’ amounts are hidden.

Your statements

When a payout is created for you, its statement lists the lines included and the total. Use View Statement on the payout to open it, and your browser’s print dialog to print or save it as PDF.

Who to ask

If an amount looks wrong, ask your Commission Slate administrator or finance team; quote the record and the ledger line. They can open the full breakdown and recalculate if data needed fixing.
