Terms of Service
The service
Commission Slate is software from Skyfall Labs that calculates sales commissions from records in your CRM, keeps a ledger of the results and produces statements for payees. It is available as an extension for Zoho CRM and as a web app at app.commissionslate.com. By installing the extension, using the web app or using this website you agree to these terms.
Pricing
The Commission Slate extension for Zoho CRM is offered free through the Zoho Marketplace. We may introduce paid add-ons in future; any paid feature will be clearly labelled, and its price and terms shown before you buy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service or other customers’ data;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service except as the law permits.
Your responsibility for commission decisions
Commission Slate calculates; you decide and you pay. You are responsible for the commission plans you configure, for checking that results match your agreements with payees, and for making, approving and recording payouts. Nothing in the service is financial, tax or legal advice.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Skyfall Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free extension, is zero).
Termination and uninstalling
You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the extension from Zoho CRM. When you uninstall, Zoho removes the extension’s modules and the data stored in them from your organisation, so export anything you need first. We may suspend access for breach of these terms.
Web app terms
These additional terms apply when you use the Commission Slate web app at app.commissionslate.com.
Accounts and organisations
You must provide accurate account details and keep your credentials secure. The owner of an organisation is responsible for who they invite, for the roles they assign, and for activity by their members.
Acceptable use
The acceptable use rules above apply to the web app. In addition, do not upload data you have no right to use, and do not attempt to access another organisation’s data.
Your data
You own the data you upload or enter. We process it only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time and on termination by contacting [email protected].
Commission results
Results are calculations to assist you. You decide and you pay commissions; you are responsible for checking results against your agreements with payees.
Availability
The web app is in beta. There is no service-level agreement, and it may be unavailable or change without notice.
Pricing
The web app is free during early access. We may introduce paid plans or add-ons later; we will give notice before any charge applies to you.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the web app and ask us to delete your organisation at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service or other customers. On termination we will make your data available for export on request.
Liability
The disclaimers and limitation of liability above apply to the web app. Because it is free during early access, our aggregate liability for it is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which may be zero.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed by Skyfall Labs], and disputes will be decided by the courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision; continued use after a change means you accept it.
